Biography

Falon grew up in a military family, and lived in many places. She lived and travelled to many countries and learned a great deal about life and people. She attended high school in Fredericksburg, Virginia, and was in Army Junior ROTC, and graduated with honors. Falon always had a love for music, and played bass guitar in a metal band while playing for her church’s contemporary worship band for 10 years. She attended undergrad at the University of Mary Washington and graduated summa cum laude and double majored and received two Bachelor of Arts degrees in International Affairs and Spanish. She studied abroad for a summer in Bilbao, Spain, She went straight to law school, and attended a Christian law school, Regent University School of Law. Falon went to study law abroad in London, England, having an eye on the entertainment law community in Atlanta, Georgia.

Upon graduating law school, Falon took the Georgia bar, and was sworn in in Fayetteville, Georgia by Chief Judge Christopher Edwards. COVID-19 hit the entertainment community rather hard, as Falon started her career in the Spalding County felony public defender’s office. She fell in love with criminal defense, and never looked back. She learned a little bit about everything as she migrated to practice in Gwinnett County. Falon studied as she practiced, and learned a great deal about how to help clients in many areas of law; crimmigration; trademark; wills, trust and estates; probate; family law; civil suits, primarily construction suits; and never strayed from her first love - criminal defense.

As an associate at the formerly known, Drake & Estes Law Firm, LLC, Falon climbed the Indigent Defense list in Gwinnett County, learning more about all areas of criminal defense, including state court and traffic court. She has a passion for listening to her clients’ stories and getting to the bottom of the story and seeking the truth. During the course of her work on the Indigent Defense list, she was appointed to multiple cases that involved mental health concerns and severe drug addiction. Falon has great connections with the Gwinnett County Mental Health and Drug Courts. She loves when she sees her clients accepted into treatment programs and rejoices in their success, reconciliation with their families, and renewed health and joy. She keeps in contact with them and hears of their success stories to this day. Falon has seen very sad stories and believes in her clients to turn their lives around. Some charges are tough to fix, but she remains relentless in her defense, and continuous interest in speaking with the prosecutor and finding the best resolution possible. Should a trial be required, she is ready to fight for her clients at a jury trial. Falon understands that being charged with a crime is a very upsetting, emotional experience and has the ability to guide her clients and educate them through the criminal trial process. Lastly, Falon looks ahead, considering expungement at all times in her representation of her clients so her clients can continue to live a full life, maintaining employment and supporting their families.
